Paul Whelan, managing director at Tyson Construction, said: “If we can identify self builders early enough they will be able to have a considerable input into the internal layout and design of the homes.”
The project, which has already secured full planning permission, will involve renovating an existing redundant farmhouse, converting a large barn to form four new homes, and the construction of six new four-bedroom semi-detached properties on land facing the eastern end of Westhead Road.
The redeveloped farmhouse is likely to fetch £375,000-£400,000, the three new mews-style properties planned for the existing barn will command a price tag of £250,000 each, and the six new homes will each cost £250,000-£300,000.
