Five custom build homes set for South London

Plans have been submitted for a number of custom build homes on a site in Peckham. Inhabit Homes has earmarked vacant brownfield land at Blenheim Grove for five terraced custom build homes (pictured); three four-bed and two two-bed properties designed by local architects Poulsom/Middlehurst.

The developer is offering a number of options for people who wish to customise their own homes: at watertight shell stage (the homes are finished on the outside with only structural walls and floors on the inside); or, at ‘self-finish’ stage (watertight shell with electrics and plumbing).

Purchasers will have their homes, priced from £599,995, delivered finished but will choose from a pre-selected palette of options for items such as flooring, bathroom/kitchen specifications and sustainability features.

The scheme is being supported by The Mayor of London’s Custom Build Fund which is providing the majority of the loan required to build the homes.

Inhabit Homes is holding an open evening tomorrow (29 January) from 6.30pm at its offices to showcase the project.

Two self build plots available in Leeds

Leeds City Council has brought forward more sites suitable for self build development. Two plots are available on Stonecliffe Drive, Farnley; a few miles to the south-west of the city centre.

The larger of the two parcels of land sits opposite 2 Stonecliffe Drive and has the potential to house up to two dwellings; whilst the plot opposite 32 Stonecliffe Drive is big enough for one home.

Expressions of interest for both sites can be made to james.child@leeds.gov.uk by 12pm on Friday 6th February. It is likely that offers will then be invited by a closing date to be confirmed by the Council.
