An army of would-be self builders have given their support to two new self build sites in Stoke-on-Trent.
More than 100 people attended a Custom Build event held by Stoke-on-Trent Council last week, offering 22 full-serviced building plots with outline planning, from just £35,000.
Attendees were able to view the full details of the plans for the two sites, in the suburb of Hanford and historic Penkhull village.

Renewal Programme Officer, Heather Kuduk, said; “The event went extremely well , with more than 90 people registering their interest on the day and a further 20 making enquiries following the event. We have since received over 20 further follow up enquiries about both sites.
There is probably more interest at this stage in the Penkhull site, just because there is more detail as a result of the outline planning application.”
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is one of the first authorities in England to support the Government’s policy to grow the custom build homes market by releasing land exclusively for this purpose and the plans form part of a city-wide regeneration programme.
