A prefabricated construction specialist is looking to partner with developers and construction companies in the UK to enable more custom build homes to be built across the UK.
{TEASER}
German firm Hanse Haus is proposing a new, highly efficient and cost effective way to build state-of-the-art homes. It claims to be able to efficiently manufacture high quantities of cost-effective shells in its Bavarian facilities and transport them to sites around the UK where they will be erected and made watertight in approximately 3 days from arrival onsite.
Each of the custom build homes will have an energy requirement up to 15 times below that of current UK regulations depending on the chosen energy standard. Homes would be constructed as completed shells only with all internal fit out left to be completed by the UK partner.
Scope of cost savings would be determined by project scale and co-operation could be extended beyond supply and erection of components to specialist training of local teams to enable them to take responsibility for future construction sites.
Christian Wittke, Passivhaus Consultant at Hanse Haus UK, said: “We see this as a key opportunity for German and UK construction professionals to partner in a way that not only leads to immense cost and time savings but also provides future-proof housing for UK residents.”
