Proposals for nearly 30 self build homes on two housing developments in the east of England are being examined by local authorities.
{TEASER}
Pigeon Land Ltd has submitted plans to Braintree District Council for eight self build homes on a 60-acre site north of West Street to the east of Coggeshall, Essex. The 1,500m2 plots (main picture, top left) will sit alongside a larger development of 119 homes, a business hub, public open space and new community woodland.
The design statement proposes detached homes up to two storeys in height, brick-built to keep in line with the adjacent residential development. Each plot will be accessed via a spine road, with individual private driveways and garages. The homes will be set within a wooded landscape to complement the planned community woodland.
Meanwhile, the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk is considering plans for up to 21 self build homes on land south of St Peters Road in Upwell, Wisbech. Land agent Maxey Grounds & Co proposes a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced two-storey houses and bungalows for the plots – each at least 80m2 in size – with a new nature walk providing a communal open space.
