Plot, a custom build subsidiary set up by development company bloc, has unveiled custom build opportunities at two locations in England.
{TEASER}
The first two schemes are located in Lancaster and Bollington (north of Macclesfield in Cheshire). Lancaster will deliver 14 homes – eight new build terrace and detached houses and six homes incorporated in two refurbished listed buildings. Bollington will deliver seven homes – three detached and four semi-detached new build.
bloc specialises in partnership developments, with a number of live joint ventures nationally, including one with the Canal & River Trust.
Richard Thomas, Development Director for bloc, said: ”Initially the company looked at different ways of delivering residential housing that was fundable. Fundamentally, we believe that people should have more control over the delivery of their homes. Self and custom build is certainly a growing market.”
Once plots have been purchased, the buyer will be responsible for building their house with bloc’s contractor. Likely costs for the plots at Lancaster will range from £140,000-£170,000 with an end-value, once the homes are finished, of £250,000-£375,000. At Bollington, plot costs will range from £165,000 to £250,000 with an end-value of £325,000-£450,000.
