Developer Strata Homes, in collaboration with fellow developer Keepmoat, has instructed custom build specialists Fairgrove Homes with the task of delivering 25 custom build homes.
Steve Midgeley, Managing Director at Fairgrove Homes, said: “Each plot will be made available with a choice of designs and each build can go from being watertight to completely finished. We hope to be on site around September/October time.”
The custom build plots are likely to be sold for between £75,000 and £125,000.
The Carr Lodge scheme has evolved out of land released by the Homes and Communities Agency. As outlined in their Land Development and Disposal Plan, to help groups of prospective bidders access a supply of land for Custom Build schemes, they have been putting forward several sites like Carr Lodge in recent times.
Paul Robinson, Land Manager at Strata Homes, said: “We would like to get more involved in custom build. Rest assured, that we and Keepmoat are going to be watching what Fairgrove do very carefully and learn from it.”
