The guide, which comes with an endorsement from Housing Minister Mark Prisk MP and architect and television presenter George Clarke, details numerous ideas for activities for individuals, businesses and even educational establishments to consider starting. It also offers advice on how activities can be delivered successfully, with information on finding venues, publicity and recruiting helpers.
National Self Build Week is being organised by the National Self Build Association and Grand Designs Live, and is supported by the Department for Communities and Local Government. It will take place from 4-12 May and coincides with the huge Grand Designs Live exhibition that takes place at ExCeL in London. Businesses from across the sector will be involved in supporting the Week, and individual self builders or groups are expected to join in.
