TruScale

TruScale is the UK’s only full-scale architectural projection studio, based in Cumbernauld, Central Scotland. We project architectural floor plans at true 1:1 scale onto the floor of our purpose-built studio, allowing clients to physically walk through their future home or project before construction begins.

Founded by three partners with backgrounds spanning construction, business development and design, TruScale was built to solve one of the most persistent and costly problems in the built environment — the gap between what is drawn on paper and what a client can truly understand and visualise before committing to a build.

Every TruScale session moves through three distinct spaces. Clients arrive in the Lounge for an introductory briefing and file preparation. They then step into the Studio – a fully blacked-out projection space where their drawings are displayed at true 1:1 scale across the floor. The session concludes in the Drawing Room, where clients and their design team discuss discoveries and finalise decisions in a dedicated debrief space.

TruScale serves a wide range of clients including self-builders, homeowners, architects, design firms, timber frame manufacturers, planning and development teams and commercial businesses planning fit-outs. Sessions are priced by floor plan size rather than time, ensuring every client receives a session appropriately tailored to the scope of their project.

The studio is equipped with professional grade laser projection technology and specialist calibration software, delivering millimetre-accurate floor plan projection across a surface area of approximately 200 square metres.
