Children from across the country are being invited to design their dream home as part of The Mini Home Builder Challenge
06 October 2016
Junior self build fans are being invited to take part in the Mini Home Builder Challenge – a competition for kids to design their dream home. Participants can use any medium they wish to – from drawings to photos to videos. Prizes will be awarded for the most imaginative and creative mini self builds, and the overall winner will receive £500 towards a family getaway of their choice.
Andrew Reardon from ProAktive Selfbuild, the team behind the competition said: “We are really looking forward to seeing the designs that young people from across the country come up with. The only constraint is their own imagination. We can’t wait to see the different ways in which children go about meeting this challenge.”
There are three age categories for the competition, under 5s, 6-8 year olds and 9-11 year olds. Entrants will need to upload photos or videos of their design to the Mini Home Builder Challenge portal (www.selfbuildonline.co.uk) by 23 December 2016.
